...my ovaries are stubborn SOBs. Ah well. Had the blood test this morning to check for hCG and progesterone. No hCG present (gee what a shocker) and very little progesterone, so I officially did not ovulate. That's ok though. I'm so far past done with this cycle. I'll be picking up my provera on the way home and with any luck I'll get to start treatment by mid February at the latest. Hopefully sooner though - I'd really rather not have the same due date as last time. That cycle started on the 12th last year. The latest date for this one would be about the 18th.
(side note: just took a potty break and still no sign of her)
Now....let's just hope that Femara works for me!

Day 63...
...no AF, no BFP. Cramps and sore boobs? Check. PMS irritation? Check. How long has this been going on? Weeks. Stupd AF! Where are you? Every time I want you to show up, you are no where to be found. Maybe you need one of these:
To find your way to my:
I gave up and called the RE. I'll be going in tomorrow for bloodwork and possibly an ultrasound. Then on to treatment. FINALLY! More updates to come...

Perhaps I Jumped The Gun....
...when I said yesterday that un-Western-medicated cycles don't work. Now don't get too excited here. I'm not pregnant. How am I so sure? I broke down and peed on a stupid stick. BFN. No surprise, no tears, no disappointment. In fact, I'm quite happy that it was negative. I haven't been on progesterone and my temps are nowhere near high enough to indicate progesterone production adequate to support a pregnancy. Anyway, the Eastern philosophy (diet and acupressure) I've been following during this cycle may not have gotten me pregnant, but I can't help but think it has helped my PCOS as well as pregnancy and weight loss.
When I first went to the RE, she ordered a two hour glucose tolerance test. I have now completed 3 of these tests in a little over a year. There are two blood draws with this test. First there is a fasting draw. Normal ranges for this are under 100. My first was 75, second was 71 and this last time 86. Not great that it's rising, but it's still within "normal."
Anyone who has made it through the 2nd trimester of pregnancy has most likely done the two hour GTT and will be familiar with the super sweet drink you must chug down in 5 minutes right after the first draw. Then you wait two hours and have blood drawn again. Normal for this draw is under 140. Anything 200 and above is diabetes with ranges between being pre-diabetes. My results were 199 (eek!), 145 (about 16 weeks pregnant) and this time...
127!
Woohoo!!! I'm no longer considered prediabetic! While that is good news, my insulin level was about two and a half times what it should be so I'm back on Metformin. Over the next month I'll be working my way up to 2000mg per day. I also decided that it was high time I made an appointment with an endocronologist. There is one whose name keeps coming up as highly recommended so I called to set up a consult and had to leave a message. I've gotten the sugar under control, now I need to figure out how to get the insulin under control. While I wait for my call to be returned and my appointment to be set up, does anyone out there in Blogland have suggestions for me?
